Holes 13 through 16 form "Amen Corner," with hole 13 requiring a tee shot that favors the left side of the fairway, as the right side is protected by a deep fairway bunker and steep slope. Hole 17, "Split," is arguably the most strategic hole on the course, with a wide fairway moving uphill. Renowned architects Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry transformed a rolling valley into one of Pennsylvania's best private golf clubs, having designed a number of nationally ranked top 100 golf courses.
