The current name was chosen as an effort to get back to an old style golf course feeling, inspired by the hickory sticks that golf clubs were once made of. The course features 10 bodies of water with 4 fountains and a creek that meanders through the layout. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, Hickory Sticks offers 4 holes of links-style golf for beginners, 9 holes of disc golf, and 9 holes of foot golf on the property.
