The course rating is 68.7 and the slope is 115. The 18-hole course was built on rolling terrain and offers smaller greens. Narrower fairways on the front nine combined with water hazards on five holes provide a more challenging golf experience. The front 9 features a traditional layout with tree lined fairways, while the back nine has fewer trees but numerous water hazards. The course is easy to walk with very little hills. Hartmann's Golf Course and Waterhole has been family-run for three generations strong. The facility includes dining options at the Waterhole Restaurant on-site and features a driving range alongside the golf course.

Following significant flooding in 2011, the course underwent a complete redesign and reopened in 2016 as a 9-hole layout.
