The course is set on 40 acres in a peaceful rural setting offering views of Mount Hood and Mount Saint Helens, surrounded by old growth oak and fir trees.

The course is designed as an executive-length layout suitable for golfers of all skill levels, from seasoned players to those perfecting their game. Hartwood operates with a distinctive no-tee-time policy, allowing walk-up play and rounds typically completed in 1 to 1.5 hours. Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green, while the charming clubhouse offers panoramic views of the course.
