Willingdon Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by the legendary Alister MacKenzie, nestled in a natural amphitheatre within the South Downs near Eastbourne. Playing as a par 69 from the white tees (6,094 yards) and par 74 for ladies from the yellows (5,841 yards), the course features MacKenzie's signature design elements including two-tier greens and raised putting surfaces that demand precision and strategic thinking.

The layout comprises six par 3s and three par 5s, with natural undulations ensuring no two shots are identical. Set against a backdrop of stunning views of the South Downs and English Channel, the course rewards imaginative play and accuracy. The chalk-based subsoil provides excellent year-round drainage, allowing play throughout all seasons when other local courses may be affected by weather.

The course's clever design uses subtle elevation changes to create constant challenges. Willingdon caters to visitors, members, and societies, with supporting practice facilities including a putting green, short-game area, chipping range, and GC Quad Launch Monitor for indoor analysis.
