Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Waynesboro Country Club offers the area one of the premier recreational facilities with activities for the whole family. The 18-hole Waynesboro course features 6,834 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.6 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Bermuda grass. Designed by George W. Cobb, ASGCA, the Waynesboro golf course opened in 1914.
There are three sets of tees for the men, championship blue, regular white, and forward gold. For the ladies, there are two sets of tees, championship gold, and regular red. The course is well maintained with a fully automated double row irrigation system and an ample budget to keep the course in top form. Since the Club limits the number of golf memberships, annually the club plays only 20,000 rounds, with no required tee times any day of the week.
