Washington Learning Center Golf Course

Washington Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 29 course located in the Washington Reservation within Newburgh Heights and Cleveland, Ohio, less than 10 minutes from downtown. Designed by Brit Stenson of International Marketing Group, the course opened in spring 2006 and features a 26-station driving range alongside the layout.

The course was financed by The First Tee of Cleveland and represents a unique collaboration with the City of Cleveland and Cleveland Municipal School District through partnership with Washington Park Horticulture Center, which offers career development programs in turf management and related fields.

Washington Golf Course holds several notable distinctions: it is the first 9-hole Certified Gold Signature Sanctuary golf course in the world and the first publicly-owned facility to achieve this Audubon International certification. This recognition reflects the course's commitment to environmental stewardship through sound land management practices and sustainable design standards.

The course is designed for accessibility and skill development, offering various instructional programs for both juniors and adults. Amenities include golf club rentals, lessons, practice facilities, and cart rentals, making it an inclusive golfing destination.
