Shaker Heights Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by legendary architect Donald Ross, located east of Shaker Square in historic Shaker Heights, Ohio. The course was established in 1913 following a split from the Euclid Golf Club, with founding members including the Van Sweringen brothers who were instrumental developers of the surrounding Shaker Heights community.
The layout features a full complement of practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and two chipping areas. The course has hosted numerous golfing greats throughout its history, including Walter Hagen, Arnold Palmer, Payne Stewart, Mark O'Meara, and Fred Couples. Set within a historic neighborhood built around the club over a century ago, the course maintains championship-level playability and offers members a world-class golfing experience in Northeast Ohio. As a private club, it integrates golf with additional recreational amenities including tennis, paddle tennis, swimming facilities, and dining options within its historic clubhouse.
