Located in Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture, Tone Park Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Shintaro Sasaki. Situated on a vast 830,000-square-meter riverside plot along the Tone River, the course is accessible within a short walk from Toride Station on the JR Joban Line. The facility opened in October 1960 and offers a total distance of 6,750 yards from the full back tees, with alternative lengths of 6,471 yards and 6,209 yards available for different skill levels. The course is characterized by its wide fairways and large greens, which average 500 square meters in size. The design incorporates subtle undulations on the putting surfaces, requiring precise reading from golfers of all levels. The layout features fully separated holes, allowing for aggressive play, and includes a mix of long, short, and middle holes that challenge players to manage distance and wind conditions effectively. Signature holes define the strategic nature of the course. The 18th hole is a notable long hole exceeding 600 yards, demanding a precise drive to maintain par. The 16th short hole presents a water hazard that encourages bold approach shots, while the 5th long hole requires careful navigation around a central forest of konara oak trees. The 3rd middle hole is recognized for its scenic beauty, lined with poplar trees that frame the fairway. Tone Park Golf Course hosts various competitive events, including monthly member competitions, a "Smile Club" tournament, and a women-only "Queen's Cup." The facility supports these activities with a restaurant, competition rooms, locker facilities, and a pro shop. The course remains a popular destination for golfers seeking a spacious riverside experience that balances accessibility with strategic depth.
