Tomahawk Lake Country Club is a nine-hole, par 36 golf course located seven miles south of Deadwood, South Dakota, within the Black Hills National Forest. Designed by renowned architect Lawrence Hughes in the late 1930s, the course spans 3,390 yards and features a challenging layout characterized by narrow fairways lined with tall pine trees and dramatic elevation changes throughout.

The course comprises two par 5s, two par 3s, and five par 4s, with holes winding around a large central hill that anchors the course design. The terrain and setting within the Black Hills National Forest provide a distinctive landscape that distinguishes it from courses elsewhere in the region. The challenging nature of Tomahawk is evident in its demanding fairways and elevation shifts from tee to green, testing golfers of varying skill levels.

The facility includes a 10-acre practice area for warm-up and skills development. Open to the public, Tomahawk Lake Country Club serves golfers from across the Black Hills region and offers memberships for individuals, couples, families, juniors, and corporations, establishing itself as a notable course in the area.
