United Kingdom

Styal Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course measuring 6,089 yards to a par of 70, set across 160 acres of Cheshire countryside near Wilmslow, close to Manchester Airport. The course opened in 1994 and was constructed with USGA specification greens throughout. The layout is relatively flat by Cheshire standards, making it an accessible and physically undemanding round while still offering a genuine test of accuracy and course management.

Water hazards feature on a significant number of holes, placing a premium on accuracy, while the greens are well protected by strategically positioned bunkers. The par 4s and 5s require confident long iron play, and the variety of hole designs means no two holes present the same challenge. Both the 9th and 18th greens finish close to the clubhouse, a practical feature that suits the club's busy visitor trade. The course has hosted several professional tournaments since its opening and has developed a reputation for consistent conditioning.

In addition to the main course, a 9-hole Academy par 3 course opened in 2001, measuring 1,203 yards and also built to USGA specification, designed both as a beginner's learning ground and a short-game sharpener for established players. The wider facility includes a 24-bay floodlit driving range, a dedicated tuition centre, and a junior academy, making Styal one of the more comprehensively equipped club and academy venues in the northwest of England.
