Strawberry Hill Golf Club is a compact nine-hole course located in Twickenham, London, situated in a quiet, leafy residential area less than five minutes' walk from Strawberry Hill railway station with convenient motorway access via the M3 and M25.

The course was designed in 1900 by J H Taylor, a pioneering golf architect who won the Open Championship five times and designed Royal Birkdale. The layout has remained largely unchanged since its original conception and retains Taylor's characteristic design features, including small humps and hollows throughout several holes that subtly influence play. These undulations, though appearing innocuous, prove strategically challenging during rounds.

The course is designed to challenge golfers of all standards despite its compact size. As a nine-hole layout, it provides an accessible yet demanding golfing experience that has endured over 125 years. Taylor's design philosophy is evident in how the course continues to test players through thoughtful routing and subtle terrain variations rather than length alone, making it a testament to the designer's enduring skill and vision for golf course architecture.
