Stallion Mountain Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada is a Par 72 course stretching 7,120 yards from the back tees, set against the backdrop of Sunrise Mountain on the valley's eastern edge. Originally opened in 1991 as a 54-hole facility called Sunrise Golf Club, it was reduced to 18 holes in 2004. The original design by Jim Colbert and Jeff Brauer was modified by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, incorporating tiered fairways, dramatic green complexes, deep bunkers, and water hazards throughout.
The course demands accuracy and length off the tee, with challenging greens requiring a solid short game. Four tee options accommodate players of various skill levels. Stallion Mountain has hosted prestigious tournaments including Golf Channel's Big Break II, the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Classic, and the PGA Tour's Las Vegas event. The course is notable as the site of PGA Tour professional Chip Beck's famous 59 in the third round of the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational—a 13-under par round featuring 13 birdies and no bogeys, earning Beck a $1 million bonus.
The layout features strategic bunkering, multiple water hazards, and elevation changes that test golfers throughout the round.
