St. Pierre is a championship golf destination set on 400 acres of parkland in the Wye Valley near Chepstow, South Wales, approximately 20 miles from Bristol and two hours from London. The facility features two courses: the Championship Old Course (Par 72, 7,028 yards) designed by C.K. Cotton and opened in 1962, remodeled in 2008 by Ross McMurray, and the Mathern Course (Par 68, 5,730 yards), also remodeled by McMurray in 2008.
The Old Course is built around an 11-acre ornamental lake lined with century-old trees and presents a substantial test of skill through water hazards and strategic bunking. A notable 400-year-old chestnut tree features on the second fairway. The signature 18th hole requires a precision 235-yard shot across the lake's edge to a raised green. The course has hosted the Solheim Cup and numerous European tournaments, with six past Ryder Cup Captains among its champions.
The Mathern Course offers a more accessible experience with aesthetic enhancements including pathways and bridges, featuring water elements and two river crossings. Its signature 14th hole crosses two rivers. Both courses are integrated with a converted 14th-century manor house, providing a blend of historic elegance and modern amenities.
