The Golf Club at South River is an 18-hole course with a par of 72 that plays to 6,723 yards from the back tees. Designed by Brian T. Ault, the course opened in 1996. Located in Edgewater, Maryland, just outside the state capital of Annapolis, the course is cut through a hardwood forest with fourteen bridges over water and valleys, with abundant wildlife including bald eagles. The course features bent grass with a rating of 71.4 and a slope rating of 136.

The course straddles Solomons Island Road about five miles south of its intersection with US Route 50, with high-end homes of the South River Colony community dispersed around the golf course. Originally developed with a loyal local following, the course was converted to a private golf club in 2007. The 18-hole layout hosts member leagues and tournaments throughout the year. The facility features a championship course, restaurant, fitness center, and golf simulator lounge.
