Skytop Mountain Golf Club is an 18-hole public course featuring 6,535 yards of golf for a par of 72, designed by Jim Polinchok and opened in 2006. The course is carved out of 270 acres of forest and blends with the rolling terrain, routed over and around numerous streams and wetlands. With five sets of tees and irrigated bentgrass fairways, greens and tees, the course accommodates players of all skill levels.

The course features narrow fairways surrounded by forest on three sides, with dramatic changes in elevation built into the side of Skytop Mountain. The course is described as pretty tough, with every hole cut out of the trees, and a lost ball penalty for missing the fairway. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,001 yards, while the forward tees measure 4,593 yards, with the longest hole being hole #2, a par-5 playing to 589 yards.

Golf facilities include a putting green, spacious grass practice range and dedicated short game area. Located near Penn State University in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, the course has become recognized as a challenging yet scenic option for golfers of various skill levels.
