The 18-hole White course at the Penn State Golf Courses facility in University Park features 6,008 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. Designed by Willie Park, Jr., the White golf course opened in 1921. Professors Bob Rutherford and R.D. Pryde laid out nine holes on the west end of campus in 1921, and nine additional holes were laid out in 1922 by Willie Park, Jr., with the work being completed in 1926. Park significantly altered the greens and bunkers to match his own style of design.

Holes six through 14 of the White Course are all that is left of Park's design, and this stretch of holes is among the oldest collegiate golf holes in the country. The White Course provides smaller raised and undulated green complexes which add to its character and demand a creative and disciplined shot making to score well. The current layout is shorter than the Blue Course but still provides a test to even the skilled golfer. The Blue Course hosted the 2008 Big Ten Women's Championship, the 2009 Men's Big Ten Championship and the 2012 NCAA Women's Regional Tournament.
