Shin-Utsunomiya Country Club is a 27-hole facility located in Oyatsu, Shikawa, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. The course is divided into three distinct nine-hole loops: the West Course, the East Course, and the Central Course. The layout offers a total par of 108, with each nine-hole loop set at par 36. The West and East courses each provide three sets of tees—Back, Regular, and Front—allowing for varied yardage and difficulty, while the Central Course similarly offers multiple tee options to accommodate different skill levels. The setting is defined by views of the Nasu and Nikko mountain ranges in the distance. The terrain is characterized by lush grass and trees, supported by a climate that is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This environment allows for well-maintained turf and a natural landscape that surrounds the playing areas. The club is noted for its traditional Japanese architecture, including structures built by master carpenters from Kyoto, which contribute to the facility's aesthetic. The course presents a variety of challenges across its 27 holes. The West Course features long par-5s, including a 563-yard 9th hole and a 545-yard 6th hole, alongside shorter par-3s like the 183-yard 5th. The East Course includes a 534-yard 1st hole and a 502-yard 9th hole, with par-3s ranging from 160 to 180 yards. The Central Course offers a mix of distances, with its longest hole being the 551-yard 18th and its shortest the 146-yard 15th. Handicap indices are assigned to each hole to balance the difficulty across the different loops.
