Located in Tochigi Prefecture, Royal Meadow Golf Club is a flat 18-hole course designed to challenge skilled players with strategic precision rather than elevation changes. The layout features a maximum elevation difference of just 10 meters per hole, creating a level playing field where the difficulty arises from well-placed hazards and bunkers. The design ensures that the landing area is visible from the tee, and the green is visible from the second shot, demanding accurate club selection and shot placement. The course is equipped with four sets of tees, offering yardages ranging from 5,622 yards on the red tees to 7,233 yards on the black tees. The course rating varies significantly by tee, with the black tees presenting a rating of 73.3 for men and 78.7 for women, while the red tees offer a more accessible 67.0 and 70.6 respectively. This range allows the course to accommodate various skill levels, though the flat design and strategic bunkers are intended to provide a high level of difficulty for experienced golfers. A notable feature of the course is the central tree on the 18th hole, which was recently changed to an Itoya maple. The greens have undergone significant renovation under the supervision of professional golfer Ryo Ishikawa, who oversaw the course's transformation to an Augusta-style putting surface. This extensive renovation, completed in early 2012, involved regrassing and reshaping greens on multiple holes, including the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 16th, and 17th, as well as the addition of new bunkers throughout the layout. The facility also includes a 300-yard driving range, a bunker approach practice area, an approach practice ground, and a putting green. On-site accommodation is available in the lodge, offering single and twin rooms with amenities such as towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and room wear. The course hosts the Royal Meadow Cup, a junior golf tournament, and has a history of hosting the Ryo Ishikawa Junior Golf Championship, further establishing its role in developing young talent in the sport.
