Sanlúcar Club de Golf is an 18-hole, par 72 course located in the Lomas de Martín Miguel area of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, positioned opposite Doñana National Park where the Guadalquivir River enters the Atlantic. The club was designed by Spanish golfing champion Borja Queipo de Llano and founded by prince and international businessman Alfonso de Hohenloh in the 1950s. The course is divided into two distinct areas: the front nine holes are links-style with deep bunkers and small greens affected by Atlantic winds, while the back nine are American-style with water hazards.
Hole 7, a par 4, is one of the most difficult holes on the course due to its tight drive with hazards on both sides, a dog-leg to the left, and an uphill approach to a two-tiered green. Three thousand trees have been planted throughout the course for shelter and character, and practice facilities include a natural grass practice tee, pitching and putting greens, and a golf school. The club offers a golf school, cart and club rental, a bar-restaurant, meeting rooms, and locker facilities.
