Vista Hermosa Club de Golf is a nine-hole parkland course located in the Vista Hermosa urbanisation near El Puerto de Santa María, in the province of Cádiz. The club was established in 1975, when its distinctive clubhouse was built, making it one of the more long-standing private golf clubs in the Bay of Cádiz area. The course carries a slope rating of 130 and is primarily a members' club, though visitors may be admitted on request. No prominent course architect is attributed to the design in available records.
The layout is notable for the variety it achieves across its nine holes despite its compact scale. Narrow fairways and strategically placed water hazards demand accuracy off the tee on several holes, while other holes open out more generously but are framed by trees that punish errant shots. Bunkers become increasingly prevalent across the closing holes. Among the most distinctive features is the 4th green, which is set on an island, requiring a precise approach. The 2nd hole is a short par, while the 9th provides a longer, more demanding finish.
The course sits in close proximity to the Atlantic coast, and the prevailing easterly Levante wind, common to the Bay of Cádiz, is a significant factor during play, adding to the difficulty of an already technical layout. The greens are consistently well maintained. Beyond golf, the club operates as a broader social and sporting facility, with tennis and paddle courts, a swimming pool, horse riding, and a gym among the amenities on site.
