Birchbank Golf Course is a 18-hole, par-72 layout located in Rossland, British Columbia, situated along the banks of the Columbia River. The course was designed by local golf professional Roy Stone, with construction beginning in 1962. The front nine holes were completed in 1964, followed by the back nine and the clubhouse in 1969. The course is part of the Rossland-Trail Country Club, which was originally organized in 1922 and previously operated a separate nine-hole course in Rossland until 2006. The course has undergone several modifications since its inception, including the reconstruction of several greens, hole relocations, the addition of bunkers and tee boxes, and the installation of a new irrigation system. Notable features include ponds situated along the fairways of the 12th and 15th holes. In 2018, the course was reconfigured to resemble its original layout. Birchbank Golf Course is known for offering one of the longest golf seasons in the area, typically running from April 1st to October 31st. The course is designed to provide an excellent golf experience for every level of golfer. The club also features a fully licensed bistro open daily to the public, as well as a pro shop that is open seven days a week.
