Champion Lakes Golf Course is a 9-hole course located near Fruitvale, British Columbia, in the Kootenays region. Designed by Boyd Barr and opened in 1992, the course was built by local golfers with support from community donations and government grants. Named after the nearby Provincial Park, the course features three small ponds at its center that replicate the larger lakes to the northwest, serving as notable water hazards throughout the layout.
The course is designed to accommodate all skill levels and challenge golfers with long fairways, several water hazards, and strategically placed sand bunkers. Set in an idyllic landscape, it provides scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere for play. The facility includes a driving range for practice, a pro shop stocked with golf equipment, and the Fairway Fusion Restaurant situated on an elevated deck overlooking the 5th and 9th holes. The course hosts tournaments and events, making it a community-oriented venue in addition to serving as a public play destination.
