Rockland Lake Executive Golf Course is an 18-hole par-3 course located 25 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, specifically in Congers, NY, on the west bank of the Hudson River. Designed by David W. Gordon, ASGCA, the course opened in 1969 and features 2,780 yards of golf with a par of 54. The course uses one set of tees played off artificial mats, with individual holes ranging from approximately 100 yards to over 200 yards in length.
The course is characterized by dramatic elevation changes throughout the 18 holes, which provide scenic views of Rockland County and the Hudson Valley region. The topography presents a moderate challenge despite the short yardage, with sloped fairways and trees lining most holes. The course serves as an excellent option for beginners, junior golfers, and experienced players seeking a casual round, with the walking course requiring players to navigate significant elevation changes.
As part of Rockland Lake State Park, the Executive Course operates alongside an 18-hole Championship Course. The park also features an Olympic-size swimming pool, picnic areas, six tennis courts, and recreational opportunities including fishing, boating, and hiking trails. The Executive Course has maintained its original 1969 design and continues to provide an accessible public golf experience in the Hudson Valley.
