Quinta do Lago North Golf Course is a par-72 layout in the Algarve, Portugal, that underwent a comprehensive redesign in 2014. Renowned architect Beau Welling collaborated with former European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley on the renovation, which involved a €9 million investment. All greens, tees, bunkers, irrigation, drainage systems, and cart paths were rebuilt using innovative technology.

The course features four sets of tees on each hole to accommodate players of varying abilities. The design incorporates undulating greens, strategically positioned bunkers, and water hazards to challenge golfers. A distinctive low-cut Bermuda grass approach around the greens provides recovery shot opportunities for all skill levels. Seasonal rough grass and specimen tree plantings enhance the course's aesthetics and environmental impact.

The redesign incorporated sustainable features including water recycling systems and solar energy, while grassy areas promote ecosystem development. The layout encourages playability across all handicap levels while maintaining a challenging championship experience.
