Potomac Shores Golf Club ☆ Follow

Potomac Shores Golf Club is located 30 minutes south of Washington D.C. and is the only publicly accessible Jack Nicklaus Signature Design in Northern Virginia. The par-72, 18-hole course features dramatic vistas, native wetland buffers and more than 200 feet of elevation changes. The course is carved through mature hardwood forests overlooking the Potomac River. The layout extends from 4,940 yards to 7,020 yards from four sets of tee markers.

Golf Digest named it a "Top 10 Best New Courses in the Country" in 2015 and it has been Top 10 in "Golfweek's Best: State-by-State Courses You Can Play" since 2016. The course debuted in 2014. The par-5 10th hole at 575 yards is highlighted as one of the best par fives in the Mid Atlantic. The putting surfaces are generally small with pronounced undulations, and the course completed a bunker renovation in 2022 following a fairway re-grassing project.
