Patea Golf Club

Patea Golf Club is an 18-hole links course situated on the cliffs of the South Taranaki coast, overlooking the Tasman Sea. Located in Patea township, 20 minutes from Hawera and 45 minutes from Wanganui, the course offers panoramic views of Mt Taranaki/Egmont and Mt Ruapehu on clear days.

The course measures 5627 metres (Men) and 4790 metres (Ladies) with a par of 73. It features a unique bunkerless design with sheep-grazed and mowed fairways combined with well-maintained greens. The gentle, undulating terrain provides an easy walking layout suitable for all skill levels, though it still presents a genuine challenge across the board.

Characterized by its accessible yet engaging design, Patea Links offers a distinctive golfing experience. The course welcomes visitors without requiring tee bookings and maintains an active schedule including Ladies Day on Tuesdays, Men's/Combined competitions on Saturdays, and various formats including twilight and business house golf. Green fees are notably affordable at $20, making the course an accessible option for casual and regular players alike.
