Ogose Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 course located in Ogoise, Tokigawa Town, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The facility spans 790,000 square meters and was designed by Kazusumi Izumi, with construction handled by Tokyo Shiba. Opened in October 1973, the course is maintained with Bentgrass greens on the front nine and Bermuda grass on the back nine. The total yardage from the back tees is 7,015 yards, with a Course Rating of 72.0 and a Slope Rating of 131. The front nine is characterized by relatively flat terrain, offering players open shots and a chance to hit the ball freely. The layout includes a variety of distances, from the 187-yard second hole to the 594-yard first. The second hole is a demanding par-3 that requires a high carry over a valley to a green protected by a large pond in front. The first hole is a long par-5 that demands precise positioning off the tee to set up a manageable approach. The front nine concludes with the 553-yard ninth hole, which plays as a long par-5 requiring careful navigation. The back nine presents a sterner test, described as longer and more technical, requiring significant skill and strategy. The 15th hole is the signature hole of the course, a massive 630-yard par-5 that forces players to navigate a long uphill third shot. This hole is noted for its difficulty in judging distance, discouraging aggressive play. The 11th hole is a short par-3 surrounded by water and bunkers, creating a psychologically challenging environment despite its short distance. The 17th hole is a 185-yard par-3 heavily guarded by bunkers around the green, making it difficult to achieve par without a precise carry. The course generally features undulating greens and strategic bunkering that penalizes inaccurate approaches.
