Course Information Unclaimed

Address:
North Ronaldsay
Orkney Islands
United Kingdom

North Ronaldsay Golf Course is located on the remote Scottish island of North Ronaldsay beside Linklet Bay's white-sanded beach. The original nine-hole links course utilizes the natural terrain of the bay, featuring a challenging 624-yard hole that captures the essence of traditional golf. The course offers a distinctive playing experience accompanied by the island's rare seaweed-eating sheep.

The North Ronaldsay Trust has undertaken an expansion project to develop an 18-hole championship course. The planned second nine holes will be located at Dennis Ness, set against dramatic backdrops including Bewan Pier, Bewan Loch, the Old Beacon, and the New Lighthouse. The expansion aims to include the longest hole in Orkney and will conclude at the Lighthouse Café, where golfers can enjoy refreshments and local meals. The new course design incorporates input from low-handicap golfers and takes advantage of the island's natural terrain and North Sea setting, creating a unique golfing destination that combines challenging play with spectacular coastal and maritime scenery.
