Natsudomari Golf Links is a 18-hole, par-72 course located on the Natsudomari Peninsula in Aomori Prefecture, Japan. The course was designed by Hito Ebihara and opened in June 1992. Situated at the northern tip of the peninsula, which juts into the Mutsu Bay, the layout is characterized by its open, Scottish-style links terrain. The course features natural rough, fescue grasses, and minimal tree cover, allowing for sweeping views of the surrounding sea. The total length from the championship tees is 7,210 yards, with multiple tee options available ranging from 5,008 to 7,210 yards. The design draws inspiration from classic links courses and the topography of Cypress Point, incorporating the strong coastal winds typical of the region, known as "yamase." The layout includes a front nine and back nine, each totaling 36 strokes. Notable holes include the par-5 16th, which stretches 652 yards from the championship tees, and the par-3 3rd, which measures 172 yards from the same tees. The course rating from the championship tees is 74.5 with a slope rating of 137. Natsudomari Golf Links has a significant history in professional golf, having hosted the 63rd Japan Professional Golf Championship in 1995. The tournament is remembered for a dramatic finish where Hisayuki Sasaki overtook the leader on the final day, securing a four-stroke victory with a total score of 16-under par. The course has also served as a venue for the Japanese National Team camp and selection trials for the Eisenhower Trophy. It has been recognized in various publications, including being named one of the "100 Holy Sites of Japanese Golf" by Nihon Keizai Shimbun and appearing in Golf Digest's "Best Resorts" lists.
