Margate Country Club

Margate Country Club is situated on the outskirts of Margate on KwaZulu Natal's Hibiscus Coast, approximately one hour's drive from Durban with easy access via the R61. The course features an 18-hole layout spread across a large area with prominent water features and picturesque inland views. As a coastal golf course, it experiences wind challenges typical of the region, yet remains playable year-round.

The course is characterized by its natural setting and abundant wildlife, including colorful bird species such as Manikins, Pygmy Kingfishers, African Harrier-hawks, and Fish Eagles. Visitors may also encounter Impala on the course and Nyala on adjacent property. The facility offers comprehensive amenities including a pro shop, golf cart hire, restaurant facilities, and a halfway house with freshly prepared snacks and meals. The club also provides event and function facilities for hire, both indoor and outdoor, along with additional recreational facilities including a snooker room, bridge club, and line dancing classes.
