Lourdes Pyrénées Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course designed by architect Olivier Brizon in 1988. The par 72 layout measures 5,600 meters and was created to respect the natural terrain of its setting. The course nestles within a forest of fir trees along the western shore of a glacial lake in the Pyrenees, offering an undulating, challenging layout suited to players of varying abilities.
The course features significant elevation changes throughout, creating a demanding playing experience. Notable characteristics include water hazards, particularly around the signature hole 11, a par 4 that plays directly toward the lake. The course incorporates strategic bunkering and out-of-bounds areas requiring careful shot placement. Terrain variations range from plateaus to steep slopes, with several holes requiring thoughtful club selection and course management.
The club has established itself competitively at regional and national levels for over 30 years with active men's and women's teams. Beyond championship play, it operates a dynamic golf school and maintains an active membership base of approximately 150 golfers participating in around 50 annual competitions organized by the Sports Commission.
