The Golf de la Bigorre is an 18-hole course situated in Pouzac, overlooking the valley of Bagnères-de-Bigorre in the Hautes-Pyrénées department of France. Designed by Olivier Brizon and opened in 1991, the layout spans 59 hectares of terrain characterized by advantageous relief and elevation changes. The course is set against a backdrop of the Pyrenees mountain range, with the Pic du Midi de Bigorre visible from the grounds, providing a dramatic natural setting for play. The course presents a significant challenge to golfers, boasting a slope rating of 143. This high rating indicates a steep difficulty curve, requiring precision and strategic shot-making to navigate the undulating fairways and elevated greens. The design leverages the natural topography of the region, integrating the slopes and views into the routing of the holes. Beyond the golfing experience, the facility operates as part of the Domaine Golf Country Club de Bigorre, which includes a three-star hotel and a restaurant. The hotel is positioned to offer panoramic views of the valley and the mountains, while the restaurant, known as Le Pic and Putt, serves local produce. The course is accessible to both members and external visitors, with booking managed through dedicated online platforms.
