Long Cove Club

Course Information Unclaimed

Long Cove Club features a world-renowned private Pete Dye golf course located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The 7,000 perfectly sculpted yards course takes players on an eighteen-hole adventure set within a breathtakingly beautiful Lowcountry backdrop featuring century-old live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss, stately Carolina pines, and stunning saltwater marshes. Designed by Pete and Alice Dye, the course opened in 1981.

Unlike nearby Harbour Town, Long Cove was not created as a championship venue and Dye's focus was on residential play rather than tour caliber golfers, resulting in more spacious greens and wider fairways. The 18-hole course features 7,026 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. Long Cove tee boxes are designed to accommodate golfers of all skill levels, creating accessibility across various handicaps while maintaining significant challenge.

Long Cove Club is proud to host the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, a prominent women's collegiate golf tournament. The course has been recognized as #19 Top 100 Residential Golf Courses in the US by Golfweek, #6 Best Golf Course in South Carolina by Golf Digest, and received numerous other prestigious rankings. The most exceptional stretch extends through the middle of the back nine to an open marshland area, featuring the 13th as an all-carry par three across a swamp toward its peninsula green.
