London Downs Golf Club is an 18-hole par-72 championship course designed by Russell F. Breedon and opened in 1991. Located in Forest, Virginia, just west of Lynchburg and east of Bedford off U.S. Route 460, the course features striking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The course plays to 6,938 yards from the back tees with narrow fairways and water hazards that come into play on five holes. The course rating is 73.1 with a slope rating of 127. The parkland design features rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, an island green, and numerous doglegs with sand bunkers along the fairways and greensides. The longest hole is number 8, a par-5 playing to 596 yards.

The club has been a perennial finalist in the News & Advance Readers' Choice Award for the Best Golf Course in the Lynchburg area and received the Hall of Fame award for the Best Golf Course from Lynchburg Living Magazine. London Downs is one of the state's premier semi-private golf courses, and the facility includes a driving range, practice green, clubhouse, pro shop, snack bar, and pavilion.
