Lido Golf Club

Course Information Unclaimed

Lido Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course measuring 6,896 yards from the championship tees. Designed by Robert Trent Jones and completed in 1953, the course is situated on a barrier beach between the Atlantic Ocean and Reynolds Channel in south Nassau, Long Island. The course is known for its classic links-style layout with elevated greens guarded by massive bunkers and significant water hazards that come into play on all but seven holes. The oceanfront setting exposes golfers to constant wind conditions, creating a demanding and strategic experience.

The course's finishing stretch is particularly renowned as one of the toughest five-hole sequences on Long Island, featuring continuous water hazards. The 16th hole, a 485-yard par 5, is a signature hole requiring a double water carry and offering risk-reward strategic options. This course maintains a replica of the 4th hole from Charles B. Macdonald's original Lido course that stood on the same property from 1917 until its destruction during World War II.

Lido Golf Club is consistently rated among the top 10 public courses in the New York metropolitan area and is open year-round to all golfers. The facility includes a driving range, putting and chipping greens, pro shop, restaurant, and bar and grill facilities.
