The Country Club of Landfall is a member-owned, financially stable private club located in historic Wilmington, North Carolina. The facility features 45 holes of championship golf designed by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus. The Pete Dye course consists of 18 holes with 6,997 yards from the longest tees and a par of 72, with a course rating of 74.7 and slope rating of 135 on Bermuda grass, designed and opened in 1987. The Jack Nicklaus course opened its first 18-holes in 1990, with nine additional signature holes added in 2000.
The club rests on the Intracoastal Waterway and Howe Creek in historic Wilmington, North Carolina, just minutes from vibrant Wrightsville Beach. The course features rolling oak and pine lined fairways, strategic sand and grass bunkering, Bermuda grass in the fairways and rough, smooth, undulating Bent Grass greens, and water on 15 of 18 holes. With 45 holes of golf designed by either Pete Dye or Jack Nicklaus, the club emphasizes competitive golf, dedicating at least one day per week to league competitions. The clubhouse and golf courses were often featured in six seasons of filming the hit television series, Dawson's Creek.
