Cape Fear Country Club features 18 holes of par-72 golf over 6,856 yards from the long tees with a course rating of 72.4 and a 134 slope rating. The 18-hole Donald Ross–designed golf course has a storied history, having hosted the PGA Tour's Azalea Open from 1949 to 1971. Founded in 1896, Cape Fear Country Club is the oldest private country club in North Carolina. The course unfolds beneath centuries-old live oaks draped in Spanish moss, combining southern charm with classic Donald Ross architecture.

Cape Fear Country Club delivers fair driving corridors, challenging green sites, and an abundance of subtleties. The mature routing plays through towering pines trees over slightly rolling terrain with plenty of sand and little water to contend with. The Cape Fear Country Club offers a hilly golf course on the coast, with lakes in play on several holes, including the signature hole, the par-3 15th, which plays to 187 yards. The course was designed by Donald Ross (1926) and restored by Kris Spence (2006).
