Lake Tsuburada Course is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, the legendary golfer with 20 major championships. The course features two nines totaling par 72, with the OUT course playing to 3,545 yards (Black tees) and the IN course to 3,462 yards (Black tees), offering multiple tee options from Red through Black.
The course's defining characteristic is a large central lake around which Nicklaus strategically positioned 18 holes of aesthetic beauty and tactical complexity. The design showcases Nicklaus's signature elements: lush fairways, dramatic white sand bunkers, and dynamic visual compositions that demand precise course management and confident decision-making from players.
The layout requires courage and composure, rewarding successful execution with rewarding play. Key holes include Hole 5 (OUT) and Hole 14 (IN) as recommended driving contest holes, while Hole 8 (OUT) and Hole 11 (IN) are designated for closest-to-pin competitions. The course features variable difficulty across multiple tee boxes to accommodate different skill levels, with back tee usage restricted to maintain pace and playability for all golfers.
