Lake Toxaway Golf Club ☆ Follow

Lake Toxaway Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Lake Toxaway in the mountains of western North Carolina. The course features 6,418 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 and was designed by Reg Heinitsh and Kris Spence. After completing a $9 million renovation in 2008, this award-winning course has received its fair share of awards and accolades and is an enjoyable test for golfers of all skill levels.

The course is difficult to find a more scenic mountain course in North Carolina, silhouetted by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Low handicappers can rely on pinpoint accuracy to avoid the carefully-placed hazards, while high handicappers can enjoy much-appreciated, bail-out areas and feel confident playing more conservative shots. Members have access to the 20-acre Tom Fazio Golf Learning Center for instruction.

The course is ranked as one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in North Carolina by the NC Golf Panel. PGA Tour professional Matt Kuchar stated the renovations have made it a fun and challenging test of golf. The course is a private club open to members and their guests, open April through November.
