The course features more than 5 hectares of bunkers that separate the holes in a strategic design, with dense grass surrounding bunkers creating shots of optimum wind effect. The region enjoys 320 days of sunshine and average temperatures of 21° C. La Torre was featured in two major British television campaigns with one commercial featuring Jack Nicklaus, and in September 2009 hosted the Davis Cup semi-final between Spain and Israel.
