La Tercia is a 9-hole golf course located in Gea y Truyols, Región de Murcia, positioned between the Mediterranean coast and Murcia city. Designed by José Gancedo, the course features three par threes, three par fours, and three par fives, characterized by undulating greens, wide fairways reminiscent of British links courses, and strategic water hazards. The course is situated at the foot of the Sierra de Columbares natural park in a rural setting approximately 15 kilometers from the Mar Menor beaches.
The course is distinguished by its challenging layout that tests accuracy and strategy without excessive development. A notable feature is Spain's first aquatic driving range, which overlooks a lake with standard distance markers allowing players to practice with precision. The resort includes a full clubhouse and comprehensive facilities supporting the golf operation.
The course was originally developed as part of a residential golf resort with plans for future expansion to 18 holes. Located roughly 25 kilometers from San Javier Airport and easily accessible via major transportation routes, the facility serves both resort residents and visiting golfers in a scenic natural environment.
