The course sits on rolling terrain with small, well-groomed greens that are known for their movement and character, presented on bent grass fairways of bluegrass. Notable holes include the #4 par-5 playing to 505 yards as the longest hole, and the #3 par-4 at 445 yards designated as the #1 handicap hole.

The course is characterized by its challenging greens and quirky character typical of older golf courses. On-site amenities include a driving range with practice tees and a putting green. The course is open to the public as well as College of Wooster faculty, staff, and students. The surrounding landscape features flowering dogwoods, thousands of daffodils, and various ornamental plantings that enhance the course's appeal.
