Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Kannami Springs Country Club is a 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Dai Design and opened in 1989. The layout offers a total yardage ranging from 5,229 yards from the red tees to 6,632 yards from the back markers, with course ratings provided for each set. The property is situated in a setting that emphasizes open views of Mount Fuji, integrating the landscape into the playing experience with a mix of elevated and downhill holes. The course features distinct strategic challenges, highlighted by specific signature holes. The 13th hole on the inward nine is a demanding par 4 that plays downhill with a view of the Suruga Bay, where overhanging trees and out-of-bounds areas create significant pressure. The outward nine’s 3rd hole is a long par 5 that gained recognition for being featured in a commercial shoot for professional golfer Rikuo Ishikawa, with a commemorative plate installed near the guard bunkers. The 9th and 18th holes are noted as preferred targets for long drivers, while the 7th and 14th are highlighted for approach accuracy. A notable renovation occurred in 2007 with the introduction of utility carts, which altered the course to be more strategic and varied. The club has a history of hosting professional events, including the Ben Hogan & Itsuki Classic Ladies Tournament in 1990, the year following its opening. The facility includes a hotel, restaurant, and extensive recreational amenities, but the golf course itself remains the central feature, offering a mix of long par 5s and technical par 3s that test various aspects of a player's game.
