The 18-hole Huntington Crescent course features 6,403 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70, with a course rating of 71.2 and a slope rating of 131. The course was designed by Devereaux Emmet and Alfred H. Tull, ASGCA, and opened in 1931. The course presents a gorgeous parkland setting, featuring numerous swales, gullies, and elevated tees and greens, with some greens fiercely bunkered while others are relatively unprotected. The fairways are narrow and small greens are well-bunkered, with out-of-bounds stakes lining six holes.
Two 18-hole golf courses were designed; the shorter East Course opened on July 4, 1931, with the West Course following the next spring, though only 10 holes remained of the original East Course as the property was later redesigned by Perry Maxwell. The Huntington Cup, pitting Huntington Country Club vs. Huntington Crescent Club, was established in 1983 as a 36-hole event with each club hosting the morning or afternoon matches, remaining a crosstown rivalry tradition.
