North East
United Kingdom
The course is an 18-hole par 71 layout measuring 6,059 yards, designed by architect Andrew Mair. Although compact at 6,060 yards, it remains demanding with water intersecting fairways on ten holes and out of bounds on eleven, requiring concentration and accuracy to score well. The course features narrow fairways protected by strategically placed bunkers and offers easy walking.
The club is set on the grounds of Gosforth Park and was established in 1966, originally known as the John Jacobs Golf Centre. In 2023 the golf club changed their name to High Gosforth Park Golf Club. Signature holes include the second hole featuring a bridged pond, and the 18th hole with a stern distance to make par or birdie. The course presents challenges that test precision, strategy, and patience for both amateur and seasoned players. Modern facilities include a 28-bay floodlit driving range with 10 bays featuring Toptracer Range technology.
