Founded in 1892, Headingley Golf Club is Leeds' oldest golf course and an authentic Yorkshire classic. The course was laid out and shaped in the early 20th century by eminent architects including Dr Alister MacKenzie and Harry Colt, giving it championship credentials.

Located in a rural setting near Adel with incredible views, the course features a variety of holes designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. It is playable year-round and regarded as one of Yorkshire's leading courses. The club boasts world-class short-game practice facilities.

Headingley has hosted significant tournaments including the 2021 English Amateur Championship and the 2023 Yorkshire Amateur. Historically, the club gained prominence when Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen played "The Championship Of The World" match in 1923. The course's blend of thoughtful design, natural terrain, and scenic qualities makes it a premier championship layout in the county.
