Founded in 1892, Headingley Golf Club is Leeds' oldest golf course and an authentic Yorkshire classic. The course was laid out and shaped in the early 20th century by eminent architects including Dr Alister MacKenzie and Harry Colt, giving it championship credentials. Historically, the club gained prominence when Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen played "The Championship Of The World" match in 1923.
