Hawke's Bay Golf Club

Hawke's Bay Golf Club is located 10 kilometres south-west of Hastings on Valentine Road in Bridge Pa, situated on 142 acres of pumice land. Formerly known as Flaxmere Golf Club, it is the youngest of four major golf courses in the Hawke's Bay region. The course was designed by Commander John Harris and features a layout with moderate undulation across many holes. The course incorporates 37 bunkers and several water hazards throughout the design. While the course is noted as being long, the moderate undulation on many holes provides a balanced challenge for players of varying abilities. The club welcomes both members and visitors, with facilities supporting casual play and tournament golf. The pumice soil base and landscape setting provide distinctive playing characteristics typical of the Hawke's Bay region.
