Glenhurst Golf Course is an 18-hole public course located on Six Mile Road in Redford, Michigan, established in 1932 and recognized as the busiest public course in Michigan. Originally developed on an 80-acre farm, the course has been redesigned three times since its opening, with an additional 22 acres incorporated over the years. The layout is characterized by rolling hills, valleys, and mature trees that provide natural aesthetic appeal and shade throughout play. A notable feature is a centuries-old oak tree, dating to the American Revolution era, that stands at the convergence of four holes in the middle of the course. The course's matured landscape, shaped by nearly a century of development, contributes to its playing character. Owned by Redford Township since 1989 with DNR support, the course remains dedicated to public recreational golf. The venue is managed by the third generation of the Hawthorne family, one of the original ownership families from 1932.
